<p>B&amp;B Concrete is proud to support Orange-Ulster BOCES through our work on the Arden Hill Gym Addition—a project designed to expand athletic and educational opportunities for students while enhancing the campus’s long-term functionality and capacity.</p><p>Working under the project’s construction team, B&amp;B Concrete was responsible for constructing the structural concrete foundation systems that form the base of this new facility. Our scope included continuous spread footings, CMU wall footings, frost walls, and slab-on-grade systems that establish the footprint and load-bearing framework for the future gymnasium and educational spaces.</p><p>A key feature of this project was the support of large-scale masonry construction, including foundations for CMU walls reaching nearly 30 feet in height. These elements required precise layout, elevation control, and reinforcement placement to ensure long-term stability, proper load transfer, and alignment for the vertical structure above.</p><p>In addition, a portion of our slab work formed the usable 7,000-square-foot gym floor area, which required enhanced flatness and surface tolerances to accommodate the final athletic flooring system. This demanded careful finishing, curing, and quality control to deliver a smooth, level surface suitable for long-term performance.</p><p>Each phase of the work was carefully planned and executed to meet performance requirements while maintaining project momentum. Our team coordinated closely with the general contractor and site crews to manage sequencing, embedded items, and access constraints associated with working on an active campus.</p><p>This addition represents a meaningful investment in student development, wellness, and community engagement, and B&amp;B Concrete is honored to contribute to a project that will serve generations of learners.</p>
